Livelihood Development and Economic Resilience

Empowering Women and Farmers through Sustainable Livelihoods and Climate-Resilient Agriculture in West Bengal

FEmpowering Sustainable Rural Livelihoods

CBRES focuses on enhancing economic resilience among marginalized communities by promoting women-led income generation and sustainable farming practices. Our initiatives include training in organic agriculture, natural resource management, and alternative livelihoods such as tailoring, mushroom cultivation, and livestock rearing. By working closely with tribal and landless farmers, we aim to build self-reliant communities capable of adapting to environmental challenges while improving their incomes and quality of life.

WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT: A SUCCESS STORY

In one of the villages of Bardhaman, a group of women initiated a tailoring business under the guidance of CBRES. Initially, they faced many challenges, but with the training in financial literacy and marketing, they built a successful enterprise, providing employment for themselves and others in their community.

Today, their business has grown, and these women are not only financially independent but also contribute to their families' decision-making processes. Their story is a beacon of hope for other women in the region.

CBRES's work in empowering women through sustainable income-generating activities showcases how small interventions can lead to lasting transformations in rural communities.
